Breaking Bad movie to reportedly have title of ‘El Camino’

We learned recently via Bob Odenkirk that the Breaking Bad movie had (shockingly) already been shot — now, we also seemingly know its name.

Per a Netflix listing that was (seemingly) accidentally created and now removed, the official title for the project appears to be El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Previously, the title went by its code name of Greenbriar through much of its production. There have been rumors aplenty out there about this series and what it could be about, and for the time being, we don’t want to offer up too many spoilers for the sake of giving something away.

Yet, the title of El Camino has already spread throughout the internet, and we don’t think anything about this is going to be some sort of big spoiler. We know that the immediate impulse after hearing this is going to be thinking automatically about the card, but there’s another translation to remember here, as well — “El Camino” means simply “the way,” and we think that this could be about either a way or a lifestyle in some shape or form. It could just mean the way of the future for a character in some shape or form.

Because Netflix did have a listing on their site about this movie, there’s a good chance that this is a project that is going to come to fruition sooner rather than later. If it’s already done filming, why wouldn’t it premiere before the end of the year? That would be a great way in order to ensure that we have something great to discuss between now and also the start of Better Call Saul season 5, which is premiering later this year.
