NBC’s ‘Community’ season 4: How’s Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs for promotion?
As it turns out, the recent video of the “Community” cast talking about season 4 was not the only thing that happened to be released on Friday … even though the item we are talking about now is not any actual footage from Greendale Community College featuring any of the characters.
Instead, the video below (which has since gone viral) was posted from the GQ photoshoot that actresses Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs did last year; it was not released ironically until the day in which the show was set to originally return this fall, and it’s pretty obvious what they were trying to do. Brie and Jacobs are smart marketers, and it was yet another way to keep people talking and then watching the show that night.
So considering the fact that “Community” did not ultimately premiere on Friday, why did the video come out anyway? All we can figure is that since we really have no idea when the show will come on now, Jacobs, Brie, and whoever holds the video must have assumed that they may as well go ahead and release it; after all, it has still succeeded in getting people talking about the show again. Hey, maybe it will be the shot in the arm Robert Greenblatt needs to actually give this show a time slot already. (As of right now, though, we’re still predicting that it will take over the “30 Rock” time slot, sadly against “The Big Bang Theory,” early next year.)
What do you think about this video, and are you predicting next that we are going to see Joel McHale and Jim Rash fighting in their underwear? Be sure to share your thoughts below!

Well, these girls are a hoot! They are cute, attractive, funny and talented! And yes, as a straight woman, I can appreciate how gorgeous and charming they are! Love their characters, Britta and Annie, too! I neeeeeeeeeeed new Community episodes! Though, the more I watch the previous three seasons, the more quirky, funny things I discover in the background and the more I am in awe!

Community is one of the best comedies I have ever seen in my life. The show offers intellectual laughter for those familiar with pop culture–the shows references to Batman, Pulp Fiction, etc. are simple mind-blowing– and jokes that can be appreciated by the common viewer. I do hope that it will run for a long time. I just wonder why NBC has only ordered 13 episodes for the now-delayed fourth season!!?
