Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel series coming soon to Disney+

She-Hulk season 1

Today at the D23 Expo, Disney decided that they wanted to find a way to boast about all of the money that they have. And, we’re totally not complaining about it in this instance.

Today, the company (which owns Marvel) announced a trio of new MCU series that will be joining the upcoming Disney+ streaming service — one that is premiering later this year. Remember that these are meant to go along with the already-established group that includes Hawkeye, Loki, What If?, WandaVision, and Falcon and Winter Soldier.

Moon Knight – As a fan and purchaser of some of these comics, this is the news that has us the most excited. Given that the character does have a tendency to be on the violent side, though, one of the questions that we wonder is how exactly he will fit into the larger Disney+ atmosphere. Remember, this is a service meant mostly for family audiences!

Ms. Marvel – This is a chance for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to have its first Muslim hero in Kamala Khan. In the comics, Khan is a teenager from Jersey City with shapeshifting powers — and we like to imagination that this could be a positive, fun storyline in the same vein as the Spider-Man movies have been as of late. (Sorry to bring up Spidey at the moment — we know that these are sensitive times.)

She-Hulk – Finally, we turn t0 a character people have been waiting a LONG time in order to see join this universe. Her name alone is iconic, and Hulk is one of the first foundational members of the universe dating back to when Edward Norton first played the character. Mark Ruffalo took over soon after, but it feels far too soon to say what his future with the franchise could be.

The same thing about all three of these series is simply this: You’re going to be forced to wait a good while in order to see any of them. Because they’re just being announced now, it may be a couple of years, at least, before you see them. Many of the other MCU Disney+ series are at the moment much further along.

What’s your level of excitement at the moment towards seeing a Moon Knight, Miss Marvel, or She-Hulk series? Be sure to share in the comments, and remember to stick around for more news.
