NCIS: Los Angeles season 11: Eric Christian Olsen writing episode
According to a new report from TVLine, you will get to see an episode coming up written by Olsen. Per show executive producer R. Scott Gemmill, it’s one that “focuses on some of Hetty’s backstory, so that’s fun.” Given how well Eric knows the Hetty character at this point, coupled with the affection the entire cast seems to have for Linda Hunt, this one could be a lot of fun.

Beyond just that, we’re just happy about the prospect of getting to see so much more of Hunt this season, given that a car accident kept her from appearing in a big chunk of season 10 leading up to the Deeks/Kensi wedding. While we still can’t say if she will be appearing in every episode this time around, we expect them to be more consistent throughout the year. Getting more of her backstory is interesting just because we’re sure that she has so many secrets and contacts that nobody quite knows about. Heck, we just learned in the final episodes of last season about her familiarity with Mac from JAG! There is a whole lot more to learn about her, and since we only have so many opportunities to dive into some of it, there is excitement that comes with being able to see more and more of it on a regular basis.
As for what we’re expecting from Olsen’s character of Marty Deeks on this upcoming batch of episodes, we imagine that a lot of this is going to have a thing or two to do with exploring where he and Kensi are in their relationship shortly after the two of them tied the knot. What are their next steps, and how happy do the two of them continue to be in their jobs? There are things that we imagine they’ll continue to ponder over when the show is back this fall.
