Sci-Fi Character Battle: Lucifer, Wynonna Earp, The Orville, Fear the Walking Dead stars face off
We don’t think there’s too much explanation needed with this being the finals, but here we go — the remaining four contenders are up for your votes! You can read a summary about them below and then at the bottom of this article, there’s a chance to vote for your favorites! The winner of the poll will be named the champion for this year — there’s no official trophy, but we like to think that there is still plenty of glory associated with it.
Voting Rules – Voting will remain open until Wednesday, August 28 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time; the person with the most votes will be declared the champion! You can vote however often you’d like; for more technical information if you’re having issues, check out the bottom of this article.
Let’s get now to discussing the finalists…
Alicia Clark, Fear the Walking Dead – Through almost the entirety of the run of the AMC show, there has been an element of change. Alicia’s been right there through all of it, wrestling with losing loved ones while also finding her place, becoming at times an action hero, and also maintaining her heart. Through the second half of this season, you could see the character pursue more of what she wants to fight for.
Waverly Earp, Wynonna Earp – Waverly may not be the title character on the Syfy hit, but she has shown herself to be quite the formidable force. She’s proven herself to be strong, smart, relatable, and also human. A part of what makes this show so great is the accessibility of everyone involved. Sure, they are battling demons, but they also have a sense of humor; this multifaceted nature of Waverly is why we’re so glad to see her again in season 4.
Ed Mercer, The Orville – He’s a leader, a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve, and someone who wants the best for all of his crew. He can also be funny, but it’s too basic to call him just comic relief. The beauty of The Orville is that its characters can be many things and we think that in this case, it’s true more than ever. Ed’s a gem and he helps steer The Orville in more ways than one.
Lucifer Morningstar, Lucifer – Without our title devil, what would the Netflix series be? It’s so fascinating to have a character who struggles so much with the concept of right and wrong, especially when you think about who they are, that perception, and their overall legacy. Lucifer has shown that he is so much more than a wicked King of Hell, and there’s so much more heart and humor to display.
Now, let’s turn this over to you
