So what is the perception on this relationship behind the scenes? Speaking in a new interview with TVInsider, here is some of what executive producer Andrew Chambliss had the following to say on the subject:
“As to whether or not there’s something between them, right now Morgan’s in a place where he still imagines he is married … He has to deal with the tragedy there that he hasn’t dealt with, in order to move forward.”
Does Morgan having this philosophy now mean that he’s going to continue to have that forever? Not at all. As a matter of fact, he could get to another point here later this season. The primary issue that he has to think about here is that Grace could be dying — there may not be a whole lot of time for him to assess any feelings that he may have. He needs to be able to figure things out quickly; otherwise, he could be left with more tragedy and a sense of regret that he didn’t act on something.
For now, it seems like the idea of Morgan and Grace has slowed down … but it may not be that way forever. Time will tell.
