Power season 6 video: Gearing up for the Ghost/Tommy showdown
In the video below, you can see a highlight reel of Tommy’s for the better part of the past several seasons and there is a lot of great content in here. It brings you through some of the earlier days of the character and his partnership with Ghost. These two thought that they knew everything about each other … but then everything start to fall apart. Tommy’s father being injected into the story changed a lot for the story, as did the death of Kanan … as did Tommy eventually killing Teresi. He felt like he eradicated his own father from the world for Ghost, only to then believe that Ghost was playing him. Then, came Angela getting shot in the closing minutes of last season.

What we’re getting at here is rather simple: For the final season, we’re going to be getting ever closer to the point of no return for Tommy and Ghost. There was a while where it felt as though these two were going to be able to get through everything but, unfortunately, that point may now be gone. This entire season is being billed as the “final betrayal,” meaning that we’re now at the point where there could be no turning back. These two men are going to find some people at their side and others maybe looking the other way. They have hard choices to make as they have to determine whether or not continuing to be a part of this life and this world is really worth it. They have some opportunities to walk away, but it really comes down to whether or not they want to do that.
If you haven’t heard, the final season of Power is airing in two batches … with the later one dropping early in the new year. Given how outstanding the show been, let’s hope now that they stick the landing.
