Bachelor in Paradise 2019 video: Who’s interested in Dean now?

Dean Unglert is a strange phenomenon on this season of Bachelor in Paradise. We’re talking, after all, about a guy who lives in a van and just travels to place to place. He’s a vagabond! He’s not the sort of contestant you tend to see on a show like this and he’s someone who also comes onto this show with a past. We don’t think anyone can necessarily forget completely about everything that happened with him, Kristina, and Danielle. (Apparently, everything with Dean and Kristina is far in the past — that hasn’t been much of a storyline this season so far.)

In the sneak peek below, you can get another preview for what is coming up on Monday night’s new episode, mostly in terms of another woman being interested in him beyond just Caelynn. Does this mean that there is some sort of Dean love triangle coming onto this season? That’s not something that you can rule out entirely, but it does feel like Caelynn has the edge. After all, we’re talking here about Caitlin from Colton Underwood’s season as a suitor, and we honestly don’t even remember Caitlin as of right now.

Is it possible that we read too much into placement when it comes to viability on a show like this? Maybe, but it makes some sense that participants are going to be drawn to people who they already know because they’ve seen them on TV — or they have some mutual friends with them. Caelynn and Dean already have a relationship, as well, at the time of Caitlin turning up. It’s going to be harder for her to break into that, and in general, we think that later arrivals in Paradise tend to have a hard time. It’s what happens when you’ve got a very small window of time in order to make something work.
