There have been rumors for weeks now that Dancing with the Stars is casting Hannah Brown — now, it’s closer to confirmed!
In a new post on Instagram, the ABC reality series is doing its part to tease some of the upcoming cast members for this season … though with Hannah, fans seem to have figured this out. While the image doesn’t show the former Bachelorette’s face, she does have the same freckles on her hand that Hannah exhibits in a number of recent social-media posts. While it may look like the DWTS contestant has slightly darker hair, remember that it’s a black-and-white image and that could be based on the lighting in the room. It’s almost 100% Hannah, and the casting makes sense.
Why would Dancing with the Stars want Hannah so badly? For starters, they’ve gotten in a habit of casting a lot of Bachelor Nation contestants these past few years, and it’s for one simple reason: They bring ratings. Hannah is the most popular lead of The Bachelorette in years, especially when you look at her Instagram base and how prevalent some of her interviews still are in the media. She’s also got a scrappy story still after her engagement to Jed Wyatt went up in smoke and she didn’t end up getting what she wanted out of her time on the show. We still think that there’s a chance she could be the Bachelorette again … but that’s an issue for a different day.
What could make Hannah appealing on this show is that she’s not someone who comes into the series with a lot of experience performing in front of an audience — she did the pageant circuit, but she’s not a traditional ballroom dancer based on everything that we know. While some contestants from Bachelor Nation do reasonably well on this show, very few get to the end or win — though the All-Stars champion in Melissa Rycroft is a big exception there.
Dancing with the Stars will announce their full cast on Good Morning America this coming week. To get more news and cast rumors, head over to the link here.
