Outlander star Sam Heughan announces Sassenach Whisky
Today, the Outlander star announced that his project with Great Glen Company, entitled Sassenach Whisky is coming soon. You can see the beautiful logo for the product below, which feels appropriate both to the Starz drama and also Sam’s own Scottish heritage. It’s the perfect sort of collaboration for him as an actor, one that should lead to a lot of curiosity around the product immediately.
There is no official launch date for Sassenach Whisky just yet, but if you head over to the official website, you can be notified when there is more official information.
Sam, who has been in the process of filming Outlander season 5, is just one of several actors that have gotten into the beverage trend. Arrow star Stephen Amell, for example, has collaborated with many celebrities via Nocking Point, and Once Upon a Time stars Colin O’Donoghue and Sean Maguire at one point worked together on their own beer. This industry is a good way to express a little bit of personal creativity while offering up a high-quality product for consumers. It also takes a considerable amount of time, which is why it’s taken so long for Sam’s whisky to be revealed. You want to ensure that everything from the look to the taste is top-notch.
Our own personal hope is that Sassenach Whisky is available in 2020, right around the time that everyone can enjoy a dram while watching the latest season of Outlander. There’s no official premiere date for it yet, but we imagine it launching within the first half of the year.
