Dancing with the Stars 28 spoilers: Is Karamo Brown in the cast?
In a new post on Twitter, the official ABC series decided that they wanted to take a page from The Masked Singer in try to present a series of far-too-obvious clues for us to figure out who the person could be. There are a few different things that make it clear, starting with the Florida A&M banner. (Brown went to school there.) Meanwhile, all of the fashion on the computer is a nod to one of the purposes of Queer Eye, and even ABC’s description of “cultural genius” in their tweet is a nod to Karamo’s position as a culture expert on the aforementioned Netflix series.
Is Karamo Brown a great choice? Absolutely. For starters, it’s useful for Dancing with the Stars to have a contestant who already knows how to entertain in a lighthearted way. Original Queer Eye cast member Carson Kressley, if you remember, was fantastic when he was on board — he may not have been the best dancer, but he was fun to watch and he understood the point of what the show was.
In addition to Karamo’s Queer Eye gig, some of his other credits include The Real World Philadelphia (where he broke ground as the first out gay black man on reality television) plus also Are You the One: Second Chances. This is someone big within the pop-culture zeitgeist right now, which is precisely what ABC should be looking for with most of their castings.
Beyond Karamo, we wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if another Brown ends up being a part of the cast — Hannah Brown, the most-recent star of The Bachelorette. While she is not confirmed as of yet, all evidence points towards her being a potential inclusion. She’s the most popular Bachelorette in recent memory, ABC loves having franchise stars in the ballroom, and she’d also be the first Bachelorette since Trista (the very first one) to come on board.
The latest cast of Dancing with the Stars will be revealed next week. Find out more details about that over here.
