Dancing with the Stars season 28 cast reveal date!
In a post on Twitter today, the morning show confirmed that they will reveal the new stars in one week’s time — they didn’t reveal a specific time for the announcement, but that’s pretty par for the course. They want you to watch the whole show, and not just pop in the moment that you know that the cast is going to be revealed.
As for who is going to be a part of Dancing with the Stars season 28, we know there are some rumors already churning out there — but the only person we feel good about being a part of the show is Hannah Brown. Following her tumultuous time on The Bachelorette earlier this year, she is the most popular lead that we’ve seen from that show in quite some time. We also think that ABC is trying to prove that they want Bachelorettes to be a part of the show just as much as former stars of The Bachelor — that was a point of contention in the past after former star Kaitlyn Bristowe claimed that creator Mike Fleiss blocked her from a past Dancing with the Stars season.
Hannah aside, we’re sure that the new season will have a good combination of athletes, reality stars, actors, and public figures. With this being the longest wait between seasons that we’ve had with the franchise, the hope is that this will lead to there being a stronger pool of contestants than we’ve seen in the past. Dancing with the Stars has long been entertaining, but it’s also come under fire for not having enough actual stars in the mix. This is also far from the only thing that it’s come under fire for — ABC has already said that there are plans for some format tweaks after some criticism over last season’s result. There’s no word on if said tweaks will have to do with the voting.
Dancing with the Stars season 28 will formally premiere on ABC next month — we’ll have more news on the cast reveal after it happens!
