‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Kit Harrington on filming process

The are multiple benefits to Kit Harrington doing a promotional tour at the moment for the latest film in the “Silent Hill” franchise: while he is definitely helping to raise awareness in the video game adaptation, it’s also hard to deny that this also gives us some rather great opportunities to hear about how the filming process is going for the third season of “Game of Thrones.”

Speaking as a part of a new interview with ScienceFiction.com recently (which you can see below), Harrington gave what were some of his general impressions about not just the process so far, but that he will indeed by heading off to Iceland soon in order to shoot some of the cold, taxing scenes that take place Beyond the Wall:

“It’s going really well. We’re in the middle of shooting, actually … We’re in Belfast at the moment, and we’re going to be going to Iceland soon … This series is [going to be] something special. It’s really looking that way, really.”

Of course, what is unique about this show (and this is something that you do get a since of in this video) is that few of the actors really get an opportunity to see the full picture of events before it airs, mostly due to the fact that there are shootings taking place at the same time across multiple countries. Plus, someone like Harrington’s Jon Snow is not going to be shooting alongside Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) in the King’s Landing setting that is Dubrovnik, whereas you are not going to see Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) taking off to colder weather.

Based on what you know is coming up in the books, do you feel as though there is potential for “Game of Thrones” season 3 to be the best?
