Over the years, Bokhee has had a few assorted opportunities to speak — she’s not an actor by trade, but she’s been around since the very first season. Her physical presence is such that it would be depressing of she wasn’t there. We like to think that it is her status on this show that inspired characters like Capp on Chicago Fire, a guy played by a real-life firefighter.
Now, we can confirm that Bokhee is back for season 16! The series confirmed that with a post from her social media, and that means more opportunities to see her … and maybe a line or two in the process?
Let’s be honest here — for however long that Bokhee An is on Grey’s Anatomy, there are going to be calls for her to get her own episode. We’d be thrilled with it. When you consider just how many different stories you could tell here, and how many Grey’s Anatomy episodes there are in a season, wouldn’t that be wonderful? It would allow you to get a larger dive into show royalty and there would still be plenty of opportunities to highlight everyone else. Just imagine some of the stories that she has about some of the core characters based mostly on observations.
With all of this being said, though, don’t give Bokhee An a storyline in the event that you’re planning to kill her off. We’d rather have her around until the series finale just so that we can have at least the potential for another couple of great moments featuring her.
