Fear the Walking Dead season 5: Holly Curran joins; episode 9 tease
Let’s kick things off with the casting news of Holly Curran. According to a report from Deadline, you’re going to see the actress (best known for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) stopping by for a recurring role over the remainder of the season. In what shouldn’t be surprising news, details about her role are still under wraps. There is a lot of mystery still within the final episodes of this episode. We know that Morgan, Alicia, and the rest of the characters are doing what they can to uncover the oilfield — a way to get resources and be able to help more people. Yet, they’re also meant to find a better way to help themselves. They can’t spend the rest of their days working without getting any sort of benefits for themselves.

With Fear the Walking Dead returning so soon, why not take another, dangerous look at what’s coming? In a sneak peek that you can watch over here, we get more evidence than ever that the entirety of the midseason premiere may be done with found-footage as a big part of the narrative structure. You’re going to see Morgan out in the field, and at one point during a rescue mission, he will step on a landmine. That’s bad — very bad. We don’t think that Fear the Walking Dead is going to be killing off Morgan in the immediate future, but in between this and Alicia being exposed to radioactive zombie blood in the midseason finale, there are a lot of people who are in danger within the world of this show. There’s probably going to be heightened sense of danger within the second half of the season — with more of the group together, that may mean that they all face even larger stakes.
