NCIS season 17 filming: The latest Bishop – Torres night shoot

While we cannot tell you that anything is going to progress immediately for Bishop and Torres on NCIS season 17, we can tell you that they will be spending plenty of time together!

If you head over to the Instagram Stories for both Wilmer Valderrama and Emily Wickersham today, you can view the two of them working side by side (or, at times, from within separate cars) on a scene featuring their two characters taking on a part of their investigation at night. Out of any of the actors on NCIS, we feel like Wilmer and Emily probably have the highest percentage of night shoots — they are two of the field agents and, beyond that, they’re also newer to the show that either Mark Harmon or Sean Murray. Because of their place within the NCIS team, Bishop and Torres probably do get assigned some of the harder missions in the middle of the night.

What we’re expecting for these two characters throughout NCIS season 17 is a deeper understanding of why they care about each other. A lot of the superficial stuff at the moment has been already played out. We know that they care about each other and we’ve also seen the two of them goof off and fight to save each other in the field. But what makes this partnership even more special? We’ve seen the two be vulnerable, but they’re going to have to build even more vulnerability with each other. That will propel the two closer to a long-term meaningful relationship … the sort of thing that, of course, a lot of NCIS fans want. There are just certain boxes that need to be checked off first, including how the two could be together romantically if they are also colleagues. Gibbs does have a rule against it … but he’s burned one rule this year already.

Even if Bishop and Torres aren’t together romantically this season, they are going to continue to form a deeper bond — that’s only going to help them in the field.
