‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: What’s next for Tywin Lannister?

It’s not often that you actually get one of the actors from “Game of Thrones” speaking out about what to expect from the new season, but we do have a rare occasion now of one of the stars finally speaking out a little bit about what you can expect during the third season. However, we do have to warn you here that there are some major spoilers coming up for those of you have have yet to read the George R.R. Martin book series.

In a new interview with Flicks and the City (via Winter is Coming), Charles Dance, who is best known for playing the ruthless and evil part of Tywin Lannister, promised that we are going to see in particular this season more of a face-off between himself and son Tyrion now that he has more or less taken over the position of Hand of the King for Joffrey:

“[You will see] more horrid treatment of my little dwarf son, I’m afraid. I spent a lot of time shouting at him and treating him appallingly … I just treat him like dirt.”

There are some more comments that the actor makes here, but we decided to leave them out here simply so that those of you who want to be somewhat surprised watching the show next year can continue to be so. The Lannister family is clearly one of the most interesting groups of characters on the show, and what we do love about them the most in comparison to some other faces in Westeros is that there are varying degrees of evil; you know without a doubt that Tywin and Cersei have no good in their hearts, and while Jamie is a little ambiguous it’s pretty clear that Tyrion does have some good intentions in there somewhere.

Are the Lannisters your favorite part of the show?
