Is Perpetual Grace, LTD renewed for season 2, canceled at EPIX?
For the time being, there is no official word on the series’ future fate, other than that it’s a show that a number of people will want it back. While this is a show that a number of mainstream viewers may not have even heard of just yet, it’s going to be featured potentially on some best-of lists at the end of the year. It’s a modern noir drama that molds together different storytelling components and is quite beautiful to look at visually. It takes a lot of big risks and it isn’t afraid to continue doing so.
Based on what one of its stars in Jimmi Simpson is saying now, there’s also a desire to keep things going for a little while longer. For some more thoughts on that, take a look at what he had to say via the New York Post:
“I would say the story is clearly not over … The season, up to this point, was an explosion of all these different characters and it’s now congealed into two elements — the blood and plasma — heading toward each other. We’re just going to have to wait to see what happens when they meet.”
So when will we hear about whether or not the show is coming back? One way or another, we feel like the truth will come out a little bit later this year. There’s no reason to make viewers wait all that long for answers on that subject.
Of course, it goes without saying that we would like to see another season … and we’d also like to see EPIX go ahead and make that move. This is one of those shows that could really grow and expand the network’s audience, especially with a show that is a little off the beaten path and different from everything else that is out there on the air.
