Bachelor in Paradise 6 video: Demi Burnett, Derek Peth, & a hot tub
For some video evidence of this very thing, you need to look no further than the sneak preview below (via Entertainment Weekly). In this, you can see what may qualify as the first makeout session of the season (or at least the one that we see). Shortly after arriving to Paradise, Demi Burnett and Derek Peth decide to link up, talk to each other, and then get their kissing on in the local hot tub (a place that has been the setting for many make-out sessions in the series). It feels almost like Demi is looking towards Derek to be almost her Paradise mentor. He is someone who has been there before and because of that, understands more of the highs and lows of being there better than almost anyone.

So while these two may be getting a little bit steamy in this preview, don’t correlate this to a long-term relationship in the slightest. Think back to some of the other stuff that we have seen on the series already. Namely, think in terms of Demi having a relationship with a woman who is not present in this sneak peek; conceivably, that is something that happens down the road. Meanwhile, Derek becomes the center of a heated argument with John Paul Jones later, where JPJ goes at him over what he thinks is the mistreatment of some other contestants.
So yeah … consider this a reminder that Paradise is going to be as unpredictable and insane as always. If you didn’t know that before Monday night’s new episode, you absolutely do now.
