Are You the One? season 8 episode 7 video: Remy gives tough love
In the sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below for this episode, you see Remy decide to be super-proactive when he sees Jenna and Kai spending time together. He already knows that the relationship that the two have had has been nothing short of toxic — it drains the energy of the two of them, let alone of the rest of the cast. Much of what they do is oscillate back and forth between constantly fighting and being into each other and it’s a cycle that could get worse the longer that it goes on.
Maybe some would accuse Remy of being too nosy, but we don’t think that is the case — instead, he’s trying to be a good friend! He’s trying to be there for Jenna so that she doesn’t get sucked into the vortex once again. That’s why he reminds her that Kai hasn’t shown any element of change since the two first got into each other, let alone since everyone arrived in the house. As a matter of fact, the editors show you that Kai is flirting around with other people even as this conversation is going on. We know that Kai and Jasmine may have something going on and that could continue throughout the episodes to come.
If there is some good news for Jenna, it’s that she has a chance to get an escape from Kai tonight further via Amber. Could this turn out to be something? It’s worth exploring for the two of them, mostly due to the fact that following the blackout, nobody on this show has anything to lose. Pursue new opportunities, try to have fun, and see where some of the journey takes you. We’ll see what happens tonight and also in some of the weeks to come. Are You the One? is hardly a show where each episode stands on its own; they are a part of a much larger ecosystem that lives and breathes across several months.
