Agents of SHIELD series finale wraps filming; see Clark Gregg’s message
While you’re going to have to wait until 2020 to see the fruits of the cast and crew’s labor, know this — they’ve poured their all into all of this. They’ve worked in order to make sure that you love these characters, their stories, and all of their evolution over time. Remember when Daisy was just Skye? Remember the early days of Fitz and Simmons? Remember Coulson before Sarge? Okay, you probably remember the last one vividly — it hasn’t been that long! Every step of the way, this show has pushed itself to be the very best.
In a post on Instagram, you can see what Clark Gregg had to say about wrapping up the show — and loving all of his co-workers both in front of the cameras and behind the scenes. Clark and Ming-Na Wen really serve as the leaders of the show behind the scenes — they’ve had these great careers and have been loved by so many colleagues, past and present. Coulson is the heart and show of this show, even when he’s not there, and to see him go from the Marvel movies to this has been a beautiful transition. We’re going to miss all of these people.

What lies ahead?
Well, still a lot given that we have a two-hour finale coming onto ABC on Friday night. Within those episodes, we’ll get a chance to see what SHIELD is willing to do in order to stop Izel and restore balance to the world. Odds are, it’s not going to be an easy transition for them and there are reports aplenty out there already suggesting that the finale’s going to have a crazy ending and work to set up the seventh season. Brace yourselves for that, and to be emotional all over again when the final Agents of SHIELD season premieres.
