Siren season 2 finale promo: Bristol Cove falls into chaos

Siren - Freeform

As we move into the Siren season 2 finale airing on Freeform tomorrow night, we’d say that there is one thing we can say: Buckle up. This is going to be an episode that alters almost everything for the world of Bristol Cove, and the world of mermaids as a whole.

In the promo below, you can get a good sense of what we’re talking about here — Bristol Cove is under martial law, a manhunt is under way, and there is all sorts of disinformation out there about mermaids and who they are. This is a violent episode where dreams could be shattered, characters could be killed, and the world of Ryn may never be the same.

Since we can’t speculate too much about how the season will end, let’s start off by saying this — doesn’t it feel fair to say that the journalist responsible for a lot of this be booed at every possible occasion? It sure feels like that. Beyond that, can’t we also go ahead and say that the future for mermaids is very much on the brink? While maybe there’s a tiny glimmer of hope somewhere in here via the infertility storyline, it also created a lot of problems as some of the attempts around Ryn started to get a whole lot more public. Maybe, at some point, Ben and Maddie should have realized more that they were being watched — yet, they were blinded somewhat by their mission, and probably also by their hopes of trying to help their friend by any means necessary.

Go ahead and bank on the fact there will be a cliffhanger — we’d like to imagine that it’s one that comes with a way for Ryn to feel a little more safe, but we may be past the point of no return with that. Now that Bristol Cove has descended into its current state, is there any way for there to be peace like there once was? We absolutely hope so, but we may have to find that out more over time.
