Elementary season 7 episode 10 sneak peek: Sherlock’s virtual reality
In the sneak peek you can see Odin give Sherlock and Joan a dose of blank, blue screen among all of their televisions as they are working to figure out their latest investigation. The sight of Sherlock roaming his way through virtual reality is certainly charming! Soon after everything goes blue, they hear a buzz at the door and it doesn’t take long for either one of them to realize who is standing on the other side. Odin is someone constantly out for something more and here, he wants to do everything within his power to ensure that he gets Sherlock and Joan on board his latest preventative-crime venture.
Is he going to be successful? He’s convinced himself that he will be and a part of that may be a combination of hubris and him just being quite capable of getting what he wants in just about every other facet of his life. He’s convinced himself that he can get Sherlock and Joan to believe him and in a lot of ways, it may be imperative to him that they get on board. It could stop the wheels in motion in terms of Sherlock privately working to take him down.
The truth of the matter is nothing Odin tries is going to slow Sherlock down — he’s far too smart for that, and you can consider the sneak peek to be just one in the midst of many battles we’re going to see play out between these characters. This is something that we’re going to see play out for the remaining episodes of the series; because Elementary is in its final season, it’s no longer beholden to being just a procedural. It can play with its form a little more than ever before.
