In a statement (via People), here is some of what Lindsay had to say about the gig:
“I feel honored to sit on the panel and be part of such an amazing show … Each week will be so exciting to watch who performs and try to guess who’s behind the masks.”
So who else is going to be on the panel? Think in terms of radio host Jackie O, pop singer Dannii Minogue, comedian David Hughes and Osher Günsberg. There are some names that we’re familiar with as an American — Minogue in general has a great deal of singing-show experience already.
If there is one primary concern we would have if we were an Australian watching The Masked Singer, it’s this — how many Australian celebrities is Lindsay Lohan familiar with? It feels similar to having an American actor judge the British version of this show, someone who is not so familiar with the local athletes and politicians who could be under the masks.
Yet, this is obviously a move based on ratings — we can certainly tell you that we would not be discussed the Australian version of The Masked Singer were it not for the announcement of the judges today.
Season 2 of The Masked Singer here in America is going to be premiering this fall. If you want to know some more news all about it, be sure to visit the link here.
