Instinct season 2 episode 5 preview: The story of ‘Ancient History’
We’ve always felt like there’s a similarity between Instinct and Sherlock Holmes, even if one of the two characters here (in Lizzie) is more firmly employed with the police than either Holmes or Watson ever were. With Holmes and Watson, they often deal with strange killings that happen via means no one else can ever even fathom. That seems to be a part of this upcoming episode, but away from the case, personal relationships are going to be tested. For Dylan, he’s starting to realize more and more just how difficult adoption can be. There are so many little issues that often spring up along the way and you have to contend with those at just about every turn.
Below, CarterMatt has the official Instinct season 2 episode 5 synopsis with some other news when it comes to what lies ahead:
“Ancient History” – Dylan and Lizzie investigate the case of a prominent divorce lawyer who is found murdered in a bizarre ritual. Also, Dylan and Andy hit a bump in their adoption process; Lizzie and Julian reach a tough point in their relationship; and Ryan Stock’s serial killer case escalates, on INSTINCT, Sunday, July 28 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Can Lizzie and Julian work their way through whatever they’re dealing with? We think that it’s possible, but it’s not something we’re going to have a clear answer to until we’re further on in the season. What we like about the two characters together is just how unexpected they are. They both have a lot of issues that they need to work through, mostly because both of them had their fair share of demons that they need to wrestle within from their past. They can help them through each other, but they need to be open and capable of being there. It’s hard when they both have demanding jobs that keep them busy at around every turn.
