Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight on HBO? Within this article, we’re going to both break that down and also take a larger look at what the future holds.

Yet, he’s also bought his time so that the remaining episodes in his order can take place later on in the year to capture more stories as the election cycle starts to heat up. That means more opportunities to look at things that could shape the future of the country in the long-term.

Airing new episodes that are relevant is, in some way, all about timing — and Oliver is banking on the notion of there being more big stories to tell when we get a little bit closer to the fall.

(For those who do complain about Last Week Tonight taking so many breaks, remember this — he can only make a certain number of episodes for however many are ordered at HBO. He’s making the most of the episodes that he’s being given. Maybe he could request more in the future, but doing this show is pain-staking work that requires extensive research more so than almost any other comedy show out there.)
