Poldark season 5 episode 2 expectations: Ross, Demelza, & more!
Before checking out our expectations, have you watched our full video review yet of the season 5 premiere? If not, watch that at the bottom of this article. (We also have the promo for episode 2, if you haven’t seen it.) Once you watch that, remember to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube and come back tomorrow for even more discussion.
For Ross and Demelza – They will have an opportunity to relish some time together, but we also like to think that these two know very well how rare and precious that is these days. Expect some sweet, romantic moments … but then also some reminders of how tough life can be. Remember the fire last week! There will be more investigating that needs to be done.
For George Warleggan – He is going to need treatment over his hallucinations — he’s imagining Elizabeth as still among the living, even though she is not. Mental illness is not something to be ashamed of, but we’re not 100% sure that he is going to accept any treatment from Dwight or anyone else for it.
For Drake and Morwenna – Are they going to be able to improve on their physical relationship? This seems to be one of their major storylines this season, but be prepared for Morwenna to also work towards something separate that she can call her own. She, like most others, want a relationship that exists beyond just a marriage.
For Ned Despard – We’re just getting to know this man, and tomorrow, he will be reunited with his wife. There could be romance here, but questions remain as to how much he can be trusted and where we’re going to see this story go moving forward.
Given that there are just eight episodes in the final season, be prepared for the pace of the show to move quickly; it has to, in order to ensure we get an ending that is satisfying and complete.
