Legacies season 2 spoilers: Thomas Doherty to play ancient vampire
As revealed during the CW series’ San Diego Comic Con panel today, Thomas Doherty of Descendants fame is going to be appearing on the upcoming season as a new vampire — or, shall we say, an old vampire. There has been a few rumors floating around out there for this character for a while, including that he will be largely a fish out of water. He’ll be an ancient vampire — not on a Klaus level, but ancient nonetheless. What makes him different from some of the other characters that we’ve seen in this franchise, at least if he’s like early casting intel suggests, is that he’ll arrive after being asleep for a long time. What that means is that he will have very little understanding about modern conveniences or customs and, with that in mind, he’ll be susceptible to being the show’s ultimate fish out of water.

We know that Legacies is a series that does have a propensity to dive into lighthearted humor here and there; this may be one of the best examples of them being able to embrace it. There’s comedy that comes anytime you combine people who are different from each other and there could be ALL sorts of great stuff to go along with that on this season.
When it comes to the initial dose of Legacies season 2 hype, most of that will probably come from the mystery surrounding Hope and if it’s even possible for that character to emerge from the metaphorical rubble. We’re sure that there is a way, but the question now is more how it’s going to happen rather than whether or not it will. Let’s just say that we’ll be asking questions aplenty throughout the next few weeks.
