Supergirl season 5 spoilers: Jeremy Jordan returning as Winn!
In a post on Instagram, Jeremy himself was the first to confirm his return. He was a series regular for the first few years before departing for the future — and now, he’s either going to find his way back or some people are going to go visit him. We imagine that Winn is not the same person he once was on this show but finding out more information on that is a glorious part of the mystery. He was always a source of comedy and heart on this series and while Brainiac and Nia have taken over that role in various forms, he’s back to provide a little more — and probably be tied to the main story of season 5 in some interesting ways.
When Jordan first departed the series, he did so in order to spend some more time with his family and friends — he’s spent so much of his career working and living in New York, so it was always a challenge living and working in Vancouver. (When Jordan first joined the series on CBS, it was filming in Los Angeles.) While this isn’t going to be a full-time return, it is an opportunity to get an update on Winn’s life and we’ll see exactly what his future holds from there.
While there are still mysteries out there regarding the season 5 Big Bad, we do know a few different things. For starters, Kara Danvers a.k.a. Supergirl has a new costume, and Andrea Brooks a.k.a. Eve will be a series regular for the first time. More information will be coming out this weekend while at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel.
New episodes of Supergirl will premiere this October on The CW.
