Hawaii Five-0 season 10: Alex O’Loughlin, more blessed; filming continues

Hawaii Five-0

While we know that Hawaii Five-0 season 10 filming kicked off earlier this summer in Los Angeles, it looks like Alex O’Loughlin has made it back to the islands!

The images below via the show’s official Twitter confirm that the Ohana is now back together doing much of what they do best — tell more great stories. Alex still has the same incredible beard he was seen wearing in Los Angeles, meaning that this is one of the few times a hiatus beard gets to stay put for a little while. We’ll see if this is something that ends up lasting as a part of production for a long span of time.

Let’s go ahead and address the elephant in the room here: Scott Caan isn’t in the images below, which are from a traditional Hawaiian blessing ceremony. Now before anyone starts putting on the conspiracy hats or kicking off rumors him not being in this photo doesn’t mean that he is gone from the show, and the same goes for some other people who are MIA. The people in the photo may have just been either off-camera or weren’t at work on that given day. It often doesn’t mean anything more than that.

This photo does seem to confirm that McGarrett survives the events of the season 9 finale — but given that he was already spotted in Los Angeles, you probably assumed that anyway. As for the status of Jerry, who was also involved in the recent finale cliffhanger, we’re a little more worried about that. Maybe there will be more information on his status over the next few weeks; if not, we’ll have to wait until September when Hawaii Five-0 season 10 comes back on the air. The cliffhanger will be resolved and soon after that, we’ll get more of what this show does such a great job at in the first place — delivering great mysteries, action sequences, and also character storylines that continue to make you care about this family. It’s the investment with those characters that make this show one of the best ones of its kind.
