‘Gossip Girl’ season 6 spoilers: Major series finale scoop!

The series finale of “Gossip Girl” is currently taping in New York City, and we now have a pretty major surprise that is coming in now courtesy of the paparazzi. So is everything really as it seems? This is going to be the question that many people are probably going to ask in the weeks moving forward to the show’s final episode. (Warning: the following may contain some major spoilers.)

Basically, Blake Lively was spotted as Serena dressed up in an extremely-lavish white-and-gold dress, and it was none other than Penn Badgley’s Dan that was spotted behind her. Does this mean for sure that we are going to see these two characters say “I do” to each other during the series finale? Not necessarily. The folks at The CW are pretty smart, and we don’t put it beyond the realm of possibility that they could have staged some sort of wedding scene just to throw some people off the scent about what is really going to happen during the actual episode.

Hopefully, we will have more information as to whether or not this is real soon, but for now, we’re going to continue and approach this with a little bit of skepticism considering what we have learned in our years of watching television and seeing scenes filmed for series finales. What we can guarantee at the moment is that both Taylor Momsen and Connor Paolo are going to reprise their old roles for the final episode, which will likely either air at the end of this year or early in 2013.
