‘Dexter’ season 7 spoilers: Yvonne Strahovski promises major surprise
While “Dexter” has had quite a few fantastic seasons over the years, there is one criticism that the show deserves to face: most of the time, it tends to follow a pattern. Every season Dexter meets a new villain, chases them around, and then finds a way to kill them off by the end of the season. The guest stars that you see at the start of the season are often not going to be around for the next year, and the endings are often pretty predictable because of it.
So are things going to be completely different this year? That much is still unclear, but we are at least going to be surprised by something this year. How do we know for sure? All you have to do is listen to what Yvonne Strahovski (who plays new character Hannah McKay) has to say on the subject per the Daily News:
“The audience will be satisfied very quickly where my character comes from and where she fits in the world of `Dexter.’ And they will be doing something on the show this season that’s never been done before.”
There is still all sorts of speculation as to who Strahovski’s Hannah and where she’s going, and really it seems to be torn down the middle: some people anticipate her being a new love interest for Dexter, whereas some others are suggesting that she could ultimately be the latest villain to challenge him in ways that he has not been challenged for. Admittedly, we’re pulling for the latter given how we are not fully interested in the mob storyline.
What do you think about what Yvonne has to say?

Since they are doing something that has never been done before, they’re likely having two big bads in season 7 and their first female one. As much as Yvonne Strahovski has remained tight lipped about her role, a TON of spoilers have already been given shown in various videos, interviews, and pictures:
1. In episode 5, Dexter discovers that one of the victims was not killed by Wayne Randall. He tells Hannah and she denies it, but her eyes looked really creepy here.
2. In episode 6, Dexter and Harry are reading a book written by crime writer Sal Price. He and Harry seem to be doing research on Hannah’s role in the crimes.
3. Harry tells Dexter, “I know she killed her husband, I can feel it. Who’s to say she isn’t after you?”
4. In one of the preview clips, Dexter seems to be sneaking up behind Hannah in a violent kind of way.
5. Hannah is shown being walked into the police station by a police officer in one clip, and possibly being in holding in another clip (and her character is being video taped).
6. Crime writer Sal Price seems to have evidence that Hannah is dirty.
7. Michael C. Hall compared Hannah’s intro to Trinity and said things become very, very dark very quickly.
8. She has looked creepy in a lot of the photos
