This morning, the Emmy nominations were announced in Los Angeles — and it was a cause for some excitement! Yet, it was also a cause for great frustration for many given that there are some snub and some of these snubs are happening year after year.

Below, you can take a look at some of the more notable snubs for the 2019 year. Also if you want to check out our thoughts on the Emmy nominations as well as the snubs then be sure to check out our reaction video and the bottom of this article. Outlander, Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe – We’ve been down this road many times before and here we are, venturing down it again. How can the Starz series and some of its brilliant performers be snubbed time and time again? Neither the show nor its cast has ever received Emmy love.

Freddie Highmore – Somehow, he still is without an Emmy nomination — this time for The Good Doctor and Dr. Shaun Murphy. After season 2, it’s a travesty.

Richard Madden – While Bodyguard got some love on its own, he surprisingly did not.

Drew Barrymore – She’s brilliant with her commitment on Santa Clarita Diet, but somehow, that doesn’t turn into Emmy love.

Tom Ellis, Lauren German, and Lucifer – We knew that they were always longshots, but we’re bummed about it nonetheless.

James Spader – Somehow, the Blacklist star may never get the recognition that he deserves for one of this decade’s most iconic characters in Raymond Reddington. We just don’t get it.

Lodge 49 – It probably doesn’t fit the Emmys nomination categories well, but we love this show and would’ve loved to see some sort of nod in its direction.

Justin Hartley, This Is Us – Even though most of his castmates continue to get some love from the Emmys, the man behind Kevin Pearson just feels shut out.

Mariska Hargitay – One of the most iconic performances in TV history. Yet, it’s been ages since she got some love for playing Olivia Benson and she more then deserves it.

After Life and Ricky Gervais – One of the best comedies of the year, one that is also deeply moving, somehow doesn’t get recognition.

Julia Roberts, Homecoming – A buzzy show and a big-name actress that brought us one of our favorite shows. Yet, it still wasn’t enough for her to get the nod.

Jim Carrey, Kidding – A similar situation here to Julia Roberts.

Any network TV comedy in general – Seriously. Do people not care about most of these shows? The Good Place got a little bit of love, but why nothing for D’Arcy Carden, who was co-presenting the nominees this morning?

D’Arcy Carden, The Good Place – She was RIGHT THERE. Just give her the nomination!

Rhea Seehorn, Better Call Saul – Almost everyone else on the show got a nomination except for her. Argghh…

Who do you think were some of the biggest snubs of the 2019 Emmys? Be sure to share in the comments and remember to check back soon for some other news.
