MasterChef season 10 episode 10 preview: Gerron’s wedding
In a new post on Twitter (which we have for you to see below), the show’s official account confirmed that this episode is going to feature Gerron and his love being married, with apparently Gordon Ramsay serving as the officiant. (One of the best officiants ever? Probably.) If we know anything about MasterChef (and we like to think that we do), this episode is going to revolve around seeing some of the home cooks have to deliver some of their best catering for the big event. This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen MasterChef contestants cater a wedding for one of their own, but we always feel like this is somewhat of a nerve-wrecking situation to be in — whether you are the home cooks or the people getting married. What if all of your food ends up being terrible? Do you really want Gordon yelling at people while your friends and family are trying to enjoy themselves?

The home cooks split into two teams to prepare 45 meals in only 90 minutes for Season 9 champion Gerron Hurt’s wedding.
The challenge here comes via the timeframe. We feel like most wedding receptions have a lot more time to get the food together for some of the guests. Why isn’t that happening here? It’s for the sake of giving the competition more drama. If there were 45 meals and the cooks had three hours to prepare them, maybe they’d be able to settle in a little bit more. Yet, then again sometimes having a sense of urgency can be a good thing. With only 90 minutes every second is important and that will force the teams to be quick on their feet.
We’ll never say that these team competition episodes are the best that MasterChef has to offer, given that we prefer more genuine expressions of creativity. Yet, there could be some interesting situations where favorites end up becoming people in danger and vice-versa.
