‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: The showdown cometh

If you love some intense scenes that include a heavy dose of debate between two testosterone-heavy male stars, then we are pretty sure that you are going to love the fourth episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” airing in just over a week.

What is going to happen here? Here’s what we have been clued in to first and foremost. The episode is being directed by series star Kevin McKidd, and is going to feature at one point a standoff between Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Webber (James Pickens Jr.) over the relationship that the onetime Chief has with the young doctor’s mother (Debbie Allen). This is something that we were first seeing traces of here and there through some of the earlier episodes of the series, but it has started to slowly and surely rise to the forefront as of late. In addition to that, McKidd tells TV Guide that there is also going to be a rather interesting “case of the week” revolving almost entirely around someone whose condition presented a rather logistical nightmare for their crew:

“We have a guy with hugely inflamed testicles, which is tricky because we have to shoot around them, which is not easy.”

So in going back to Jackson, is he going to find a way to work things out with Webber? We are hoping so, mostly because we know that the guy has plenty of other things on his plate at the moment to deal with including the likes of his relationship with April, which will really be put to the test tomorrow night as the two are going to come face-to-face again at Seattle Grace for the first time since she left there following the board exams.

Where do you want to see Jackson’s storyline go the rest of the season?
