Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 8 preview: Race against time
There are so many threats within this episode that it’s hard to know just where to start. You’ve got from one vantage point, issues related to zombies. Then, you’ve got weather starting to come back and play a role. Then, you’ve also got human threats lurking out there and we don’t think that we’ve seen the worst from them yet. Within this episode, we may have more of a larger opportunity to explore some of that.
Is Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 8 (entitled “Is Anybody Out There?”) the midseason finale? We suppose you can call it that, but there may not be much of a break between it and episode 9 if AMC wants to get all of these episodes on the air before The Walking Dead season 10 premieres. Still, this episode should be the one that alters things slightly for these characters, delivers the goods, and makes much of this journey worthwhile.

Up against the clock, Morgan, Grace, and Alicia work to buy time; Dorie and Dwight race against the elements; Sarah and Wendell get help from an unexpected source.
Who are we worried about?
It feels like some of these characters won’t make it out alive, mostly because Fear the Walking Dead hasn’t done so much in the killing-people-off department for some time. The easiest contenders to be knocking on death’s door right now aren’t the leads, but those who are around them — you want to kill off people to make an imprint, but also not completely alter the course of the cast again. We’ve been through that enough as viewers of this show!
