What’s coming up on Jersey Shore Family Vacation season 3 episode 3? For Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, there are tough times ahead. He’s just found out that he will be spending hard time behind bars and it’s the sort of thing that changes his entire life. It goes beyond just plans for his wedding; it’s being separate from his family, both in real life and also on the show. He has to deal with the consequences of the past and while he’s already working to become a better person, sometimes change doesn’t offer full forgiveness.

Through episode 3 (and the rest of the season), we’ll see Mike get the support of some of his fellow cast members; meanwhile, it seems like the former roommates will have an opportunity to connect beyond their typical environment.

Emotions are at an all time high as everyone tries to pick up the pieces after the shocking details of Mike’s sentencing are revealed. Then the roomies head up north to a dude ranch for a weekend getaway.

We know that there are going to be a number of serious moments in this upcoming episode — there has to be, given the circumstances. Let’s also not forget that JWoww is going through a lot with her divorce and that is something that will probably manifest itself more as this season gets further into its run. We know that it’s not something she wants to talk about all the time (understandable), but this show does often become an emotional whirlwind throughout.

It’s also fair to still expect a certain degree of comedy given what we know Jersey Shore to be — this is a franchise that doesn’t need to change its stripes. It’s a sometimes-dramatic reality TV comedy with big characters, catchphrases, and nostalgia rolled all into one. You watch to get away from the real world and there’s a fish-out-of-water element that the producers are trying to capture still … why else would you put a dude ranch in the middle of everything that is going on? It’s to shake things up.
