The Bachelorette episode 9: Who was eliminated on hometown dates?

Hannah Brown - Bachelorette cast

Tonight on The Bachelorettewhat you’re going to see are hometown dates! It’s that time of the year where families become wacky, entertaining characters in this journey — and also sometimes emotional ones. There is something so strange about seeing parents get emotional over someone from a reality TV show stopping by their home.

Peter Weber – After we watched Peter’s dad tear up on this date (which, of course, included Peter taking Hannah on a little flight), we started to get a sense as to why these moments happen. For a lot of life, you don’t talk about things in as open a fashion as you see on a show like this. This causes some of those walls to break down that aren’t there otherwise.

Tyler Cameron – All of Bachelor Nation loves Tyler and so do we. This date packed a lot into it. There was a boat, a band, and also Tyler’s father on the mend. This date was a lot of fun — easily, it was the most lighthearted of the four, and that was interesting given that Tyler had some of the most serious circumstances going on in his life.

Luke Parker – A lot of this felt almost like a church date since the first big part of the episode revolved around a visit to some of the people who shared his faith. This is a world that he does very much live and breath, but does that actually mesh with what Hannah wants in her life now?

Jed Wyatt – This may have a number of different issues to work out after this, mostly because this entire date was awkward. The music part of it was obvious/annoying, whereas the second part of it showed that his family was not fully on board with Hannah just yet and there may need to be some sort of winning-over period for them to get where they needed to get.

The Rose Ceremony

This is where things get a little bit more interesting. Peter received the first rose, whereas Tyler then received the second. It came down to a showdown between Luke and Jed, with one of them being “sent home.”

Well, here’s the plot twist. Hannah didn’t send anyone home! She decided instead that she wasn’t ready for it and she would rather wait until after the overnight dates to figure this out.
