Power season 6 trailer debuting this weekend! Brace yourselves…
In a new post on Twitter (see below), the show’s official account confirmed that you are going to have a chance to see the full trailer for what lies ahead tomorrow — meaning that you’ll finally get a sense as to the road ahead for James St. Patrick and many of the other people who populate this world.
At the end of Power season 5, we saw what may very well be the biggest moment of the entire series so far — Angela being shot at Tommy’s hand. This is the sort of move that can fundamentally change the way characters think and dramatically shift relationships. As a matter of fact, we firmly accept for it to. Ghost isn’t going to be able to move forward and navigate the waters of this world as he once did. Tommy’s corrupted that — yet, it may also be premature to say the relationship between these two lifelong friends is shot for good. Think about things this way: They’ve already had a number of betrayals and moments where you would think that their relationship would crumble … and it hasn’t. They’ve somehow still figured out a way in which to stick around in each other’s orbit.

No matter what happens with Ghost and Tommy, survival will be the to priority of this final season given that there is a war going on between multiple factions, Ghost is more desperate than ever, and Tariq is on the rise as a dangerous player within this world. We don’t think that this is a world where bad people have to get punished, so we also don’t think that this is a world where we are going to see a happy ending. At most, maybe we’ll end up with something a little bit more bittersweet where it feels as though some characters get what’s coming to them and others don’t. Power has tried to be realistic and we’re sure it will stay that way ’til the bitter end.
