In the latest promo below, you can see Angela doing something that we like to think of as an especially-risky endeavor — challenging Smurf. We don’t think that this is something that anyone in their right mind should want to do. We’re talking about an especially dangerous woman who has nothing to lose anymore. She’s got cancer, after all, and she wants to cement her legacy by any means necessary.
Also, we know that Smurf is looking for someone who is ratting out the cops and it feels like Angela would be a prime contender in her mind. Think about it — we’re looking here at someone who recently popped up out of thin air after many years away. She claims that she was recently in prison and we have to think that Smurf could research that; nonetheless, there are limits to how much she can know. Angela is easily a prime suspect and we imagine that Smurf will do what she can in order to sniff out some results here.
(The person who really should be worried is Adrian, and we think Deran is already worried of the target that will end up on his boyfriend’s back. Just the end of this past episode showed us Deran doing whatever he could in order to protect himself and Adrian, and there was a certain sense for foreboding in the way in which he told him that he loved him. It was enough to make us worried that Deran was worried about what is to come.
Animal Kingdom airs on TNT this coming Tuesday and be prepared for more of the show’s signature DNA. That includes more opportunities in order to experience jobs, extreme violence, and a whole lot more.
