Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 6 video: The threats to come
Through the upcoming episode “The Little Prince,” one of the things you’re going to have a great opportunity to see is what happens when Morgan, Alicia, Dorie, Dwight, and many others team up with a common goal — survival, plus also uniting the remaining stragglers that are out there.
From here, there is also the notion of trying to help out some of these kids. Through the earlier part of this season, we saw the likes of Dylan, Max, and Annie do their best to shy away from the group … and even work against them. That is back before we knew why they are like this — they’ve lost their parents and most of the people they love because of mysterious attackers that came at them at their campsite. They’re antsy and need answers or at least hope. Maybe Morgan and company are going to do what they can in order to help. (No matter what happens, it’s hard to imagine this gaggle of kids sticking around forever — can you imagine this show in the event we actually saw all of these kids around forever? It’s pretty hard, at least in our mind, to imagine that we’ll see them all still around.)
The question that this promo raises is what exactly we’re going to be building towards this season and if we’ll really be getting a sense of who some of the larger threats are. Have we met them already? It’s certainly not the kids and based on the ending of this past episode, it feels as though we’re not going to be seeing the return of Isabelle or the helicopter crew anytime soon. While in the moment we questioned how necessary that episode was, our feelings have somewhat changed in retrospect. We’re looking at it more as a chance to learn more about Althea and see her open up emotionally. Even if this doubled as a chance to get teasers on the Rick Grimes movies, it came from a place of character.
