Jill Zarin asks Andy Cohen about ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ firing
There are not very many times in which we genuinely feel that an episode of a Bravo show is as “real” as it is being put on, mostly because events are shown to us in a while that gives us a great of drama, but also allows the network to cover their own hide. With this in mind, we have to admit straight out of the gate here that we find.Jill Zarin’s entire interview with Andy Cohen on “What What Happens Live!” to be completely fascinating.
First things first, it was a ballsy move for Cohen to even bring on someone to begin with that he played in part in firing from “The Real Housewives of New York City” after being at one time a fixture of the show. Then, it was an even ballsier move by Zarin for her to actually confront Cohen on the air about why the move was made, which, judging from Andy’s response, suggested that Zarin already knew the answer and was just try to get him to come clean on live television.
Really, ever single facet of this conversation made sense. Zarin felt that she was given the short end of the stick after already been verbally assaulted on the show by some of her co-stars, and Cohen felt like the show needed an enormous shake-up based on some of what the viewers were saying. Zarin is also right, on the other hand, in admitting that the struggles for the series this year have in part been due to so many new and changing faces to the franchise. Viewers are not so invested in these ladies as they were Zarin, who has at least remained reasonably active in her time off the show.
