‘Bones’ season 8 spoilers: ‘Chuck’s’ Vik Sahay to toy with death
Whenever we hear that a former star of “Chuck” has been cast on a new show, there is a part of us that almost spontaneously squeals with delight; and thus, we present the newest headline courtesy of an upcoming episode of “Bones.”
According to a new report from TVLine, Vik Sahay, who you probably know best for his part as Nerd Herd member (and one half of Jeffster) Lester Patel on the cult fave NBC show, will be appearing on the Fox murder mystery as Akshay Mirza, the owner of an eco-friendly and holistic funeral parlor that offers burials sans the coffins. This is a growing trend these days, in particular as people star to come up with more and more ways to honor their loved ones rather than just with the traditional casket. However, this episode is not really going to be about the changing funeral industry; instead, he is going to be a suspect in the death of his business partner, who he had some sort of past romantic entanglement with.
Sahay’s gig here is likely going to be for just one episode, but he does potentially already have some more work lined up as a part of the upcoming CTV pilot “Satisfaction.” Since Sahay is a native Canadian, this should mark a nice homecoming of sorts for him; plus, there’s always a chance that American audiences could end up checking this out courtesy of all the Canadian imports that have been crossing over as of late. (Let’s hope so.)
