Big Little Lies season 2 episode 5 preview: Diving into Bonnie’s past
At the start of season 2 episode 5 is going to be Bonnie — it has to be Bonnie. She is in a lot of ways the key cog of this season. She is the one who did the killing and because of that, she is also the one who has to deal with whatever the aftermath of this still is. Her past may be a big key to why she is the person she is now … which is why it’s probably such a good thing that this episode is going to explore that.
For a little bit more news as to what’s coming, we just suggest that you check out the official Big Little Lies season 2 episode 5 synopsis:
Renata (Laura Dern) deals with the fallout from Gordon’s (Jeffrey Nordling) legal troubles and attempts to help Celeste (Nicole Kidman). Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz) relives painful memories from her past.
There are only three episodes left in Big Little Lies season 2. What’s the priority for the show now? It starts with trying to give you a sense as to where everyone stands in Monterey and, beyond that, where they stand within themselves. We don’t see there being much healing that is coming from what happened to Perry; the only thing that could mask it is, perhaps, pain from another incident. Maybe there is a way for the show to fight darkness with more darkness — at least so long as it isn’t too over-the-top and the show doesn’t start to pile on all sorts of dead bodies to the extent that it becomes highly unrealistic.
