Queen of the South season 4 episode 5 video: Does Teresa have a deal?
There are bold moves aplenty when it comes to Queen of the South season 4 episode 5, and the first one is simply this: The decision to air a new episode on the Fourth of July. Why risk that? Well, USA probably thinks that there is more value to keeping the show on the air than airing repeats. Also, they recognize that it performs well in DVR viewership and it will find itself some viewers, one way or another.
It’s only fitting that Queen of the South takes a risk given that its lead character has a real knack for doing the same thing. Entering the new episode airing on Thursday night, we’re going to see Teresa make one of the biggest decisions that she has to date as she tries to take over much of the Eastern United States. In the video below, you can get a good sense as to what we’re talking about as she contemplates how to best orchestrate a deal with Oksana. This is someone who could prove to be either a fantastic friend or a tremendous foe depending on the circumstance. If Teresa thinks that she can trust her, we’re inclined to buy into what she thinks. After all, she has been the person who has navigated this world more than we have! (But, let’s not forget that she is still human, and Oksana could be an exceptionally good liar.)
In general, Teresa is walking on a knife’s edge just because of how many people she’s told about her special way of making “tequila.” The more that people are aware of the truth, the more that they will want to use some of that knowledge against her.
Sure, sometimes knowledge is power … but it can also be a murder weapon. Teresa’s getting close to finding herself cornered by everyone who wants a larger piece of the pie.
One thing we know entering Queen of the South season 4 episode 5…
The show has the same sort of ratings momentum that it has all season. While the numbers are down versus season 3 across the board, it is doing a good job of hovering around a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. What we think that this means is that the odds are in the series’ favor for a season 5. Nothing may be confirmed, but we can start to feel optimistic.
