Who knew that Dave Navarro was going to have such a career on television? Over the past season and a half, the rocker has hosted the “Top Chef” for tattoos competition in “Ink Master” over on Spike; and now, we know that his new gig is going to be making an appearance on the hit FX drama “Sons of Anarchy.”

According to multiple reports, Navarro is set to guest-star on an upcoming season 5 episode to play the role of a Byz-Lats member who has a close connection in some shape or form to Jimmy Smits’ character of Nero. It’s yet another interesting cast for executive producer Kurt Sutter, as Navarro only has a small handful of TV credits to his name as an actor, and none on a show of this caliber. (After all, this is one of the highest-rated shows on cable in adults aged 18 to 49.)

So what is coming up on the show that could bring Jax and the rest of SAMCRO into context with Navarro? That much is still relatively unclear, though we know that the motorcycle crew is going to be working closer than ever with Nero now following an arrangement that was made at Opie’s funeral of all places. Let’s just hope that whatever it is, it creates for more than just an “ooh” moment that we are seeing an unexpected guest star enter the picture.
