Siren season 2 episode 13 promo: Mermaid mating season arrives

When Siren season 2 episode 13 arrives on Freeform next week, you will see an episode that puts it all on the line. With mermaid mating season upon us, Ryn knows that time is of the essence for her people. They’re dying, and there may only be so long before their species starts to dry up altogether. With this mission going on, plus also the hybrids having more of a story than ever before, we’ve got ourselves quite an eventful batch of episodes coming. So long as you appreciate interesting drama and unique story twists, we think there is a lot to appreciate here. We’re not at the end of the season just yet, but the two-hour event tonight raised the stakes.

Mermaid mating season has begun, with Ryn knowing she will need to go back to the sea to help her colony. The hybrids convince one of the mermaids to come with them to a remote location, leading Helen and Ben on a hunt to find them. A journalist turns to Xander for help putting the pieces together of the night of the oil rig disaster, but Xander is torn on where his loyalties lie and what helping him could mean for his future.

The promo suggests that episode 13 could be one of the most important episodes to date for Helen, given that so much of the action of the story could go down in her very living room. That is a lot for her to have to deal with, but at this point, she understands that her old life is gone now. There is a different purpose that awaits her now and it goes beyond just preserving what matters in Bristol Cove. It’s about working towards the future.

At the start of season 2, we were teased with a message that “more are coming.” Through this promo, you get a sense of that, and you also understand more of how the final episodes of the season could be shaping up. Ryn has some critical decisions to make, Xander’s future could be torn to bits, and life in this small town will never be the same. It’s hard to have any clue how this all will end; just examine the twists that got us here.
