Psych: The Movie 2 video: James Roday, Dule Hill hype what’s next
In the video below, you can see the show’s two stars discuss what’s coming up in their latest movie, which is coming on the air during this holiday season. What’s coming? Think in terms of a great, old-school Psych mystery, one that also brings the show back to the familiar Santa Barbara fold. You’re also going to see so much more Carlton Lassiter this time around! For all fans of Timothy Omundson, this is a cause for great rejoicing. He was one of the great heartbeats of the original show and we would’ve been devastated if he didn’t end up having a huge role to play in the new iteration of the show.
What is that role? It’s not really mentioned within the preview, so let’s go ahead and spell some of that out here — we’re going to see Lassiter visit a recovery center after an attack puts his life on the line, and there’s something afoul going on there. This is something that is going to cause Shawn and Gus to get on the case! We’re excited to see what happens, and for the show to reference as much old-school Psych as humanly possible. We imagine that it’s going to be warm, funny, and hopefully set the stage for even more movies down the line.
We also just love the dry humor of the preview, as it offers us a real chance to hear some Psych references and also get a tease or two for what is coming. Hill and Roday’s chemistry has always been great and clearly, this is no exception to that rule. They know how much the show means to people, and that is probably why there are still willing to come back for more at this point.
If you want there to be a Psych: The Movie 3…
The simplest advice that we can offer you is watch the second movie live! Check it out, get some pineapple, and convince all of your friends to do the same. If they don’t? Well … they can suck it. We’re sure that you saw that reference coming, but we still had to throw it in there anyway.
Psych is just a breath of fresh air. It’s funny, adventurous, and it has so many characters we love and care about. That’s probably why, even to this date, we’re just as excited to check it out as we first were so many years ago when it was on the air.
