Fuller House season 5 progress report: Another episode in the books!
In a new post on Instagram, Andrea Barber (Kimmy) confirmed that today marked the taping for the third episode of the final season — we know that the series tapes before a live audience and just from the looks of things below, there are a TON of enthusiastic people ready to be a part of the show experience. We’d imagine that for the fifth season, Fuller House is one of the hotter tickets in town. You’re basically getting a chance to see a multi-generational hit before it ventures off into the sunset, likely to neither be seen nor heard from in the near future. (We suppose that decades down the road, someone could try to revive it again — we’re just not there now. We also suppose that it’s possible you could bring the show over to the WarnerMedia streaming service in development, but that’s just our own speculation — we’re not saying that this is actually going to happen!)
Anyhow, with Fuller House getting a chance to actually tell a final-season story this year, we presume that things are going to move rather quickly. There are a lot of important stories that the writers are probably going to try and get to! Think along the lines of Stephanie’s relationship with Jimmy, what’s going on with Steve and DJ, and our question as to whether or not this season could end with some sort of dramatic double-wedding. That’s at the top of our season 5 dreamboard based on the characters’ relationships at this point.
It goes without saying that there’s going to be nostalgia — that’s been there from the very beginning with this show and Fuller House has really accomplished what it set out to do from the start. It’s provided an entertainment experience where parents who grew up on the original Full House can now watch the new one with their kids. It’s also helped that there have been some original cast members who have turned up here and there through the process. It’d be great if there were some opportunities to see a little bit more of them before the final curtain is dropped.
