Elementary season 7 episode 8 spoilers: Will Sherlock, Joan help a criminal?

As we prepare for Elementary season 7 episode 8, Sherlock and Joan are going to ask themselves some interesting questions. What’s one of the biggest ones? Thinks in terms of whether or not they can help someone who previously, they were responsible for putting away. Can a tiger change its stripes? Or, do the ends justify the means? Maybe these are some of the things that are rattling around in their brain if they try to figure things out with Cassie Lenue within this episode. Allie Ioannides hasn’t been a part of the show ever since the 2016 episode “Miss Taken”; maybe this episode, entitled “Miss Understood,” is meant to be a sequel of sorts to it.

A lot of times, people in prison have an ulterior motive. Sometimes, they just want attention, or other times, they could be setting someone up for an untimely outcome on the other side. Or, maybe they think that if they can help solve a crime, they’ll get a lesser sentence of their own. Basically, what we’re spelling out for you here is that there are a lot of nefarious reasons why a bad person may suddenly look like a good person.

Nonetheless, Holmes and Watson are crime solvers. They’re going to do everything that they can in order to get answers on a given case, even if that means a surprise collaboration with someone who may not be the most trustworthy of people — take, as we mentioned, Cassie. They know that she’s super-intelligent, just as she’s also capable of so much more than what we’ve seen so far.

Are we going to see Sherlock and Joan succeed in piecing things together here? We like to think so just because it doesn’t feel like this episode is a part of some larger chain. It seems like this is more of a standalone, get-in-and-get-out episode. You’ll see it, you’ll understand the story, you’ll dive into the mystery headfirst, and then you’ll get around to the other side.
